MARDI LE 29 MARS VERS MIDI À SAINT-BENOÎT, À L’OUEST DE SAINT-EUSTACHE, ON POUVAIT ENTENDRE UN BAVARDAGE CONTINUEL.

C’ÉTAIT ENCORE UNE FOIS NOTRE RENCONTRE ANNUELLE À LA CABANE À SUCRE.  C’ÉTAIT UNE JOURNÉE ENSOLEILLÉE AVEC UN VENT LÉGER, PRESQUE PARFAITE POUR CE GENRE DE SORTIE.  LA FAMILLE ETHIER CONTINUE À NOUS IMPRESSIONNER PAR SON SERVICE, SA CUISINE, SES DESSERTS TRADITIONNELS ET SA BONNE HUMEUR.

ANDRÉ ST-LAURENT AVAIT APPORTÉ UNE BOÎTE DE PHOTOS EN SURPLUS, QU’IL A ACCUMULÉES AU FIL DES ANS, AFIN DE LES DONNER.  CELLES-CI SE SONT AVÉRÉES TRÈS POPULAIRES COMME SOUVENIRS, SPÉCIALEMENT POUR CEUX DONT LA PHOTO OU CELLE DE COLLÈGUE AVAIENT ÉTÉ PRISES.

 The time has come to hold elections at the Christmas luncheon. An election will only be held if there are any nominees for the position listed just below.

You will find at the bottom a nomination ballot. Fill in the ballot; ensure that your nominee is interested and available.

 Vice President

The position of Vice President is elected for duration of two (2) years.

 If you need additional information about the elections, just call anyone from the IFS organizing team; or send us an email.

 Le temps est venu de tenir des élections au diner de Noël.  Une élection aura lieu seulement s’il y a des nominés pour le poste ci-dessous. 

Vous trouverez au bas un bulletin de mise en nomination. 

Remplissez-le et assurez-vous que la personne nommée est intéressée et disponible pour une durée de deux (2) ans.

Just to let some of you “non golfers” know we had a great time at our Annual Golf Day.

Terrebonne, was again chosen, because their price is right

Other nice things about that golf course, is the  possibility of having others join us, once my 40 players have been confirmed and to be able to postpone or cancel in case of rain…

December 8th

What a wonderful day! Although we had a pretty big snowstorm the day before, fortunately on our luncheon day, driving was fairly reasonable, and what a blessing it was! So, we gladly welcomed 112 of our retired colleagues. Many more had registered, and yet a few ran into some difficulties, and could not attend.

The atmosphere, always electric or should I say, deafening, pervaded throughout the day. What gives each one of us so much pleasure is to see the smiling faces, cherish the warm embraces, and partake in the joyousness of it all. Somehow, this yearly event has kept its magic where all our amazing memories are revived and shared, despite the many years of separation. The arrangement of the room, the food, the service, and the ambiance all contributed to the jubilation that filled the space.

Quelle journée merveilleuse!  Malgré le fait que nous ayons eu une assez grosse tempête de neige la journée précédente, heureusement pour la journée du 8 il était relativement facile de conduire.  Une vraie bénédiction!

Nous avons donc accueilli 112 de nos collègues retirés.  De nombreux autres étaient enregistrés mais quelques-uns ont eu des empêchements et n’ont pu venir.  Il y avait de l’électricité dans l’air et je dirais même c’était assourdissant tout au long de la journée.  Ce qui nous donne autant de plaisir est de voir les visages souriants, de recevoir de chaleureuses étreintes et de participer à la joie générale.  Je ne sais comment l’événement de cette année a gardé encore une fois la magie des retrouvailles et des souvenirs partagés malgré les nombreuses années de séparation.  La disposition de la pièce, la nourriture, le service et l’ambiance ont contribué à la grande joie dans l’air.
